NOW HIRING!! A-Line is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, perform clinical testing, document patient information, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.

Registered Nurse – Primary/Urgent Care

Schedule: Alternating 2-week rotation
Pay: $58.80/hour

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings and be comfortable providing a broad range of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Perform routine and advanced patient assessments and monitor overall health status.
• Evaluate patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
• Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature, and identify abnormalities.
• Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Obtain and accurately document patient medical histories, including illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history.
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings, including assessments for depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, self-care techniques, disease management, and available community resources.
• Help patients access appropriate healthcare services and resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.
• Advocate for patients while delivering compassionate, professional care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of work.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related healthcare experience.
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room required.
• Hands-on experience with:
• • Phlebotomy
  • Vaccine administration
  • Point-of-care testing
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment.

Important: Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to long-term care, nursing homes, home health, LTACs, or skilled nursing facilities may have difficulty adapting to the pace and clinical requirements of this environment. Candidates should have relevant experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, or a comparable ambulatory clinical setting.

Education & Licensing

• B.S. in Nursing required
• Active RN license required in the state of work
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a clinically confident RN with strong patient assessment skills and experience working directly with patients in an outpatient, urgent care, or emergency setting. Candidates should be comfortable with medication administration, vaccinations, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EMR documentation, and patient education.
