Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential care and supervision to adult residents. Caregivers will assist with (ADLs) activities of daily living, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
%CF; Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
%CF; Mobility Assistance: Monitor residents mobility, including ability to transfer, and use mobility aids. Assist as needed. Report any significant change.
%CF; Medication Management: Provide medication assistance per regulations and as prescribed. Monitor for side effects.
%CF; Daily Living Activities: Support clients with meal preparation, housekeeping, medication management, and laundry.
%CF;Accompany: Accompany on medical/ dental appointments, social outings, and community activities.
%CF; Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful living environment.
%CF; Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to healthcare professionals, and administration upon occurrence.
%CF; Community Engagement: Encourage and assist clients in participating in social and recreational activities.
%CF; Advocacy: Advocate for clients’ rights and needs, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
%CF; Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided. Chart residents progress through shift notes, tracking, and communication logs.
Qualifications:
%CF; Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in caregiving or ability to obtain upon hire..
%CF; Experience: Minimum 6 months experience in a caregiving role, especially with elderly or disabled individuals, is preferred.
%CF; Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
%CF; Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
%CF; Certifications: HCA, or DSP, CPR/ First Aid certification, CPI (or willingness to obtain).
