Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting machinery/scrap material to various locations. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will ensure the loads get delivered/picked up in a timely and safely manner.

Duties:

- Operate Tractor-trailer trucks

- Operate stepdecks, flatbeds, lowboys, tiltbed trailer, dumps and rolloff trailers.

- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, report to our mechanic and fill out inspection reports for truck and trailer

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and driving time between trips

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members

- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols

Requirements:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL class A)

- Experience chaining/strapping down loads

- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles - 10 Speed/13 Speed

- Experience hauling wide, oversize and overwidth loads

- Proven experience as a tractor trailer driver

- Knowledge of route planning and navigation systems

- Ability to lift 50 lbs

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Excellent communication skills with dispatchers and yard management.

We are a metal recycling company founded in 1909. We are also in the dismantlement industry, we haul and remove heavy equipment from Industrial companies. We have our own mechanic shop in our yard where we repair our trucks, trailer, forklifts and other power equipment.
