Position Summary

The Stainless-Steel Manufacturing Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for overseeing daily stainless-steel fabrication operations. This position is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, and on-time delivery while leading hourly production teams and executing production plans.

The supervisor leads from the floor, enforces standards, develops associates, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own daily production schedules, job priorities, and labor assignments to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Monitor production performance, KPIs, and labor efficiency; take corrective action when targets are missed.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and strict compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Oversee product quality and address issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and hold production associates accountable for performance, attendance, and conduct.
  • Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and associate relations matters.
  • Coordinate material availability, inventory accuracy, and production reporting using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Identify and implement process, equipment, and layout improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Shipping to align production priorities.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in stainless-steel or metal fabrication manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead hourly production teams in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication equipment and processes.
  • Demonstrated success meeting safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.


Preferred:

  • Technical or trade background in fabrication or manufacturing.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk the production floor for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment and wear required PPE.
