Job Description

About Us We are a small, family-oriented company. When you drive for us, you are part of the family—not just a number. We are looking for dedicated, reliable, and professional Class A CDL Drivers for long-haul OTR routes who want a stable home with a team that values them.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty, is meticulous about load securement, and takes pride in keeping their equipment running smoothly. If you do not currently have a Hazmat / Tanker endorsement, we will help you get one.

Please Note: This is a No Teams position. You will be operating solo.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $2,000 (with potential up to $2,300) on a W-2
  • Pay Frequency: Paid every Friday
  • Orientation: Lodging and per diem are fully covered during orientation which is 1 day with DOXA and 1 day with WhatatruckerLLC (orientation itself is unpaid)

Equipment & Freights

  • The Trucks: We do not drive brand-new trucks. Instead, we run a very well-maintained fleet of 2013–2019 models.
  • Driver Comfort: All trucks come equipped with an APU, inverter, microwave, and fridge.
  • The Freight: You will pull a dry van or reefer.
  • Touch Freight: You will be required to use a pallet jack roughly 1 to 2 times per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Operations: Safely operate a Class A semi-truck on over-the-road routes while strictly adhering to DOT regulations and hours of service.
  • Load Securement & Freight: Ensure all loads are properly and safely secured before moving. Must be comfortable being hands-on with freight when required.
  • Basic Maintenance: Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections. You should be capable of handling minor, light maintenance tasks on the truck (such as changing bulbs, replacing wipers, tightening loose parts, or minor troubleshooting) to keep moving safely.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to think on your feet, navigate route disruptions, and handle unexpected situations professionally while on the road.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Schedule: Required to work at least 25 days a month.
  • Age: Minimum 22 years old.
  • License & Endorsements: Valid Class A CDL. Must currently hold Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements, OR be fully willing and eligible to obtain them within 60 days of employment.
  • Experience: Previous OTR experience preferred.
  • Driving Record & Hiring Criteria: Must have a clean driving record to meet strict Texas commercial insurance insurability guidelines.
    • 2 years experience required, but if you have a perfect driving record, we can accept as low as 18 months of experience to qualify for hire.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist with freight, pallet jacks, and load securement as needed.
