The Learning Experience of Astoria is growing, and we are currently seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced educators to join our team. We have multiple full-time Lead Teacher positions available across several age groups, including Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool.

Available Positions

Lead Infant Teacher

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
• Strong understanding of infant development and milestone-based learning

Lead Toddler Teacher

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting
• Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities

Lead Preschool Teacher

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Experience leading a preschool classroom
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, classroom management, and kindergarten readiness skills

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning experiences
• Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Complete observations, assessments, and classroom documentation as required
• Maintain positive communication with families regarding children's progress and daily experiences
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support classroom success
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations
• Build strong relationships with children and families while creating a welcoming classroom community

Qualifications

• Degree requirements as outlined above for each age group
• Previous experience as a Lead Teacher in a childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about early childhood education

Compensation & Benefits

• $19.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on position, education, certifications, and experience
