Accounts Payable Clerk

Construction Company, located in Fort Worth, TX , is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in high volume construction A/P processes. The ideal candidate will have full-charge accounts payable experience and at least 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and efficiently, handling high volumes effectively.

• Ensure all invoices are properly coded and approved according to company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the high-volume accounts payable function.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Desired Qualifications:
At least 3 years of progressive accounts payable experience in the Construction Industry Required.

• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles.
• Full charge accounts payable experience is required.
• Experience handling high-volume accounts payable.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
