• Prepare Cost estimates and conduct quantity takeoffs to determine the quantities of materials and labor required for a project based on its specifications and plans. Gather and analyze data on materials, labor rates, and equipment costs.
• Proficiency on reviewing project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to understand the scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Utilize RS Means to create detailed cost estimates, including unit prices, productivity rates, and location-specific adjustments.
• Customize RS Means data to address unique project needs such as specialized materials or construction methods.
• Review historical data and RS Means benchmarks to ensure cost estimates align with industry standards.
• Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to understand project scope and identify cost-driving factors such as material specifications, labor requirements, and project timeline.
• Perform detailed cost breakdowns for each project phase, including preliminary, design development, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with project managers and design teams to validate cost estimates against project budgets and timelines.
• Review and interpret complex construction blueprints and drawings to calculate detailed quantities for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Cross-check specification books and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Draft and process subcontractor purchase orders, ensuring alignment with project\ budgets and timelines, while monitoring change orders.
• Ensure Quality and Workmanship for the Construction and Renovation of Buildings (General Construction, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Work)
• Utilize RS Means to create detailed cost estimates, including unit prices, productivity rates, and location-specific adjustments.
• Customize RS Means data to address unique project needs such as specialized materials or construction methods.
• Extract and integrate data from Egordian’s database to develop cost estimates for complex projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Build advanced Excel templates with formulas, pivot tables, and macros to streamline material quantity calculations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil with Master degree In Construction Management
Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as an Estimator in construction
Experience with Public & commercial Building projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Estimating software
