About Alliance Vehicle Solutions
Alliance Vehicle Solutions is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Installation Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial truck equipment, vehicle upfitting, emergency lighting, and custom vehicle solutions for commercial, municipal, utility, public safety, and government customers.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with trucks, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and vehicle accessories. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and has experience using hand and power tools in an automotive, truck equipment, fabrication, or mechanical environment.
Responsibilities
The Installation Technician will install, assemble, and service a variety of truck equipment and vehicle accessories, including:
- Truck toppers, caps, and camper shells
- Service bodies and utility bodies
- Brush guards, grille guards, and bumpers
- Liftgates
- Running boards and side steps
- Trailer hitches and towing equipment
- Toolboxes and storage systems
- Strobe lights, warning lights, and emergency lighting
- 12-volt electrical accessories and wiring
- Commercial vehicle accessories and upfit equipment
Additional responsibilities include reading work orders and installation instructions, accurately measuring and drilling mounting locations, routing and securing electrical wiring, testing completed installations, maintaining a clean work area, and inspecting finished work for quality and proper operation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Previous experience installing truck accessories, automotive equipment, service bodies, liftgates, emergency lighting, or similar equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot installation issues
- Basic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems preferred
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, and other shop equipment
- Ability to read installation instructions, wiring diagrams, and basic measurements
- Attention to detail and pride in producing professional-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to safely lift and handle equipment and components associated with vehicle upfitting
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
- A personal set of basic hand tools appropriate for the position
Experience with welding, fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, commercial trucks, emergency vehicle equipment, or vehicle upfitting is a plus.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, productive, and willing to learn. You do not need to know every type of installation on day one, but you should have a solid mechanical foundation, experience working with tools, and a willingness to develop your skills.
Candidates with backgrounds in automotive repair, diesel service, truck equipment installation, trailer repair, welding and fabrication, construction equipment, emergency vehicle upfitting, or similar skilled trades are encouraged to apply.
