Sales Associate - Hardware and Building Supply

We’re a busy independent building supply and hardware store on the Upper West Side serving contractors, building supers, and DIYers. We need someone who knows the product — not someone we have to train from scratch. If you can walk a customer straight to the right fitting, fastener, or tool, we want to talk.

What You’ll Do:

"19; Help customers find the right product the first time
"19; Build relationships with repeat contractor and trade customers
"19; Support receiving, stocking, and floor merchandising
"19; Keep the floor clean, organized, and well-signed
"19; Assist with special orders and inventory lookups

Experience:

"19; Required: 1+ years in a hardware store, building supply, or lumber yard
"19; Preferred: Bilingual — English and Spanish
"19; Preferred: Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, fasteners, or hand/power tools
"19; Preferred: Experience serving contractors or building trade customers

Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience
