Non-Emergency Medical Transportation drivers safely transport seniors and individuals with mobility challenges to appointments, such as dialysis, therapy, day Support centers and doctor visits. They provide door-to-door assistance, secure wheelchairs, ensure passenger safety, and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Key requirements include a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Passenger Transport: Transporting passengers to medical appointments, Day Support Centers, and other locations.
  • Assistance: Assisting passengers with entering/exiting the vehicle, including managing wheelchairs or mobility aids.
  • Safety & Compliance: Following all safety regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and performing regular vehicle checks.
  • Documentation: Completing daily trip logs
  • Communication: Communicating professionally with clients, caregivers, and dispatchers.

Requirements

  • License & Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to assist passengers, which may include lifting or pushing wheelchairs.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and knowledge of local traffic patterns.
  • Background: Passing criminal background checks and drug screenings.
  • Equipment: Some positions require operating equipped vans and securing specialized equipment.
