Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant / Part-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide dedicated support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's in an individual client assignment. This live-out position focuses on delivering personal care, mobility assistance, emotional support, and safety supervision to enhance clients' quality of life and ensure their well-being, especially during nighttime hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including assisting with bathroom visits and safely returning clients to bed
• Offer mobility assistance to help clients move safely and comfortably
• Deliver emotional support tailored to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's
• Ensure client safety and prevent falls, particularly during the night
• Respond promptly and calmly if the client wakes up confused or disoriented
• Supervise clients to maintain a secure environment
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with patient assistance, especially in dementia care
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Effective time management abilities
• Ability to perform housekeeping tasks as part of caregiving duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
