Assistant Teacher / ESE Support Teacher / Paraprofessional

The ideal candidate for this role will be energetic and dynamic with a love for nurturing and educating children with special needs.

Fireflies Academy is a private school for children with neuro-diversities, autism, & related diagnoses. We are a unique school with a proprietary curriculum combining education, movement, and the arts. Our class sizes are small to ensure success of every student. The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in the following:

• Lesson planning and implementation
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where children can thrive
• Providing a well-organized and smoothly functioning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements
• Guiding the students to their potential of independence
• Preparing daily correspondence for parents
• Completing quarterly progress reports
