Florida State Certified Alarm Contractor in business since 1981. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm and life-safety systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential properties.
The ideal candidate has a minimum 3-year hands-on experience in installation and servicing Low Voltage including with Fire Alarm Systems, Security (Burglar) Alarm, Access Control & CCTV. Plus, strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and code compliance. Highly desired to read, understand and follow plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, inspect, and service fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and related equipment.
- Perform scheduled inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance.
- Identify system faults and recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and system documentation.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, building owners, and management.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable fire codes, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.
- Respond to service calls and emergency system issues when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a related electrical/life-safety position preferred.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, control panels, detectors, modules, notification devices, and associated wiring.
- Ability to diagnose electrical and system-related problems.
- Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in various commercial or industrial environments.
