About the Role:
Cross County Medical Care is seeking an International Medical Graduate (IMG) for a Chart Review position based in Bellerose, NY. This is a fantastic opportunity for a medically trained professional to contribute their clinical knowledge in a detail-oriented, documentation-focused role. Responsibilities:
- Review and audit patient medical charts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify discrepancies, missing documentation, and coding inconsistencies in medical records
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation standards
- Apply clinical knowledge to support accurate medical coding and billing processes
- Ensure medical records comply with regulatory and payer requirements
- Generate reports and summaries based on chart review findings
- Support quality improvement initiatives through thorough medical record analysis
Requirements:
- International Medical Graduate (IMG) with an MD or equivalent medical degree
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation
- Experience with medical chart review, auditing, or health information management preferred
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical billing practices is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
