Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, curriculum-based lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for young children
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare health and safety standards
- Collaborate with fellow educators and administration to support program goals
- NJ State childcare certification or CDA credential is a plus
- Prior experience in a lead teacher or early childhood classroom role
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
