Accounting Specialist

Accounts Payable

• Receives, sorts, organizes and manages vendor receipts for all vendors.
• Communicates with and keeps vendors informed regarding invoices status.
• Communicates with others in the company regarding vendor invoices and relationships.
• Works well with the commercial team to support their billing processes and vendor management.
• Matches up invoices with purchase orders, or quotes, to insure billing accuracy.
• Understands joint check handling requirements, processes and procedures.
• Inputs invoices into Spectrum for timely payment and in order tot take advantage of discounts.
• Oversees other employees who have Accounts Payable type responsibilities within the company.
• Prepares monthly payable status reports for management team.

Accounts Receivable

• Works with Service department team to manage outstanding service payables.
• Works with residential sales team to manage outstanding residential installation payables.
• Works with commercial team to support their invoicing process and track payables.
• Prepares monthly receivable status reports for management team.

Payroll and Service Invoice Support and back-up

• understands how to process service invoices and can fill-in, backup, and help.
• Understands company practices and procedures for payroll, can fill-in, back-up and help.

General workplace items

• Looks for ways to improve processes and establish standard work proceedures.
• Keeps work space clean, organized and professional in appreance.
• Shows up on time, gives adequate notice for requested days off, and is generally accountable.
• Consistently offers others assistance.
• Looks for additional responsibilities.
