Construction Project Manager
Job Description
Established high-end residential and commercial construction company seeking an experienced Project Manager. We have an immediate need for an efficient, professional individual to join our team. We are a stable growing company, building some of San Francisco’s finest projects.
This is a full-time position with reliable hours, benefits, and competitive pay.
The position is for an experienced Project Manager. The applicant would be responsible for managing a large-scale residential remodel, while also preforming foreman and lead carpenter duties. This would include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
- Interpreting architectural & structural plans.
- Comply and fulfill purchase orders for construction materials based off plan sets.
- Communicate daily with the Project Supervisor and/or Operations Manager about project status.
- Be proficient in communicating by email and tasks completed on the computer.
- Participate in Client meetings as necessary.
- Managing the onsite crew, keep workflow moving, and ensure that all crew and subcontractors are adhering to all Company jobsite policies.
- Identify and troubleshoot workflow issues to keep the project moving
- Perform manual work in preparing areas for construction.
- Operate power tools of all types and styles, including all standard and specialty carpentry tools, to perform all aspects of the trade such as measuring, cutting and shaping wood, plastic, drywall and other materials.
- Perform materials handling and storage.
- Ensure jobsite security is adequate and the site is secure at the end of each workday.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Perform aspects of rough carpentry including, but not limited to, concrete forms, framing windows and doors, sub-flooring, and stairs.
- Perform aspects of finish carpentry including, but not limited to, trim, molding, furniture, and casework.
- Erect and take down scaffolding and ensure all site protections are in place.
The applicant needs to have the knowledge and ability to complete ALL phases of construction of a building, from the foundation forms up to the finish carpentry.
The position is required to lift heavy objects; walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under sometimes adverse working conditions.
Must have at least 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, provide your own tools, and have reliable transportation.
Almost all the work will be in San Francisco, but the applicant must be prepared to sometimes work in the north and east bay.
