Automotive Service Manager

Guys GMC Trucks is a family owned-operated GMC dealership proudly servicing our community since 1967. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, & customer-focused Automotive Service Manager to lead our growing service department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily operations of the service department.
• Hire, train, coach and motivate service advisors and technicians.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction from appointment through vehicle delivery.
• Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Maintain manufacturer standards and dealership policies.
• Work closely with the Parts and Sales departments to maximize customer service.
• Manage scheduling, workflow, and repair order quality.
• Review department financial performance and meet profitability goals.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

​Qualifications:

• Previous Automotive Service Manager experience preferred along with knowledge of the advisor and technical writing positions.
• Mechanical & shop experience a plus
• Strong leadership and team building skills.
• Excellent communication & customer service abilities.
• Experience with dealership management systems (GM dealership experience is a plus).
• Ability to manage technicians, advisors, and workflow effectively.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
