Sushi Chef

We are looking for an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team! We strive in a fast-paced environment and fully dedicate ourselves to guests experience.

The Sushi Chef opening is for a full time position. We need a driven and productive employee to join our small team. Our employees are empowered and passionate, all working with the goal of creating delicious food and memorable experiences for our guests. Applicants must be capable of safely and properly handling food, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment.

This is a tipped wage, meaning the pay range listed is base pay only. Sushi chefs earn percentage of sales as tip, in addition to tips earned from customer service to restaurant guests.

Responsibilities:

Overseeing day-to-day operations.

Coordinating with kitchen and servers for timely food delivery.

Assist in the development of new and special items for guest accomodation.

Manage inventory to reduce waste and maximize use of product.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Sushi Chef.

Knowledge of product and experience handling it.

Passion for the craft and guest experience. Attention to detail.

Teamwork and leadership qualities.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

We are a small 50 seat Japanese Restaurant that specializes in fresh sushi preparation, as well as a full kitchen for Japanese cuisine.
