Job Description

The Director of Innovative Developments drives innovation and new program development at Team Grateful, identifying emerging opportunities to expand the organization's impact and improve service delivery. This visionary leader develops forward-thinking initiatives that respond to community needs, attract strategic partners, and position Team Grateful at the forefront of innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research, design, and launch of new programs and initiatives aligned with organizational mission and community need.
  • Identify emerging trends, funding opportunities, and evolving community needs to guide program development strategy.
  • Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
  • Oversee pilot programs from inception through evaluation, assessing outcomes for scalability and long-term viability.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to ensure all innovations align with Team Grateful's mission and values.
  • Manage innovation-focused project plans, timelines, and budgets with precision and accountability.
  • Present new program proposals to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, creative problem-solving, and intellectual curiosity across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on program development KPIs and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support grant writing and resource development efforts to secure funding for new initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program development, strategic planning, or innovation leadership.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully launching and scaling new initiatives or programs.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Grant writing experience with a successful funding history.
  • Background in management or social enterprise.
