Job Description
Purvis Dermatology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care.
- Document medical history and patient information.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical system.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) required.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
