The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in supporting behavioral therapy by implementing intervention plans and collecting data to monitor client progress. Working primarily in mixed environments including regular client home visits and school settings, the RBT operates both independently and within small teams, providing direct interaction and support tailored to individual client needs. This position offers opportunities for professional growth, including advancement to Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately
- Implement behavioral interventions according to therapy plans
- Monitor and document client progress regularly
- Engage directly with clients to facilitate therapy sessions
- Maintain thorough documentation of interventions and outcomes
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize client care
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in behavioral therapy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Strong data collection and behavioral intervention skills
- Effective communication and patient observation abilities
- Empathy and strong time management skills
