Cabinet Builder
Job Description
The Cabinet Builder is responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing custom cabinets, furniture, and wood fixtures according to design specifications and quality standards. This role involves reading blueprints, operating woodworking machinery, and ensuring each finished product meets company and client expectations for precision and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine cabinet specifications and layouts.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood or wood substitutes using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Build and install cabinet components such as doors, drawers, frames, and moldings.
Sand, stain, paint, or finish wood surfaces as required.
Ensure accuracy and quality in all cabinet builds, checking alignment, fit, and finish.
Repair or modify existing cabinetry when needed.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure a clean, safe workspace.
Collaborate with designers, installers, and project managers to ensure designs are practical and meet client needs.
Follow safety protocols and comply with all company policies and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or woodworking certification preferred).
Table saw experience needed
Proven experience as a cabinet maker, carpenter, or in a related woodworking role.
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design drawings.
Attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Good time management and organizational skills.
