Greet patients in the waiting room
Take their weight and put them in an exam room Take vitals and any testing asked for by the Provider (ie EKG). We do swabs for flu, strep and COVID when needed. Enter them into the patient's chart
CMA will need to prepare a lab order for the following visit and prepare any referrals or imaging orders as ordered by the provider.
Update prescriptions and process refills when approved
We use the ATHENA EMR system being familiar with that program would be beneficial. Candidate would add hospital notes, consultant notes and lab documents into the patient's chart.
Take phone calls from patients, find out what their needs/questions are and give the information to the provider. Then follow up with the patient.
