Administrative Assistant - Yuba City
Job Description
Overview
Come join us at Select Property Management in Yuba City, CA. We are seeking an experienced property management professional who is tech savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced office. This role supports the day-to-day operations of a busy property management office and requires recent, hands-on experience in residential property management or a closely related real estate environment.
The ideal candidate understands the pace, terminology, documentation, customer service expectations, and competing priorities that come with property management. If you have experience communicating with tenants, property owners, vendors, and real estate professionals—and take pride in completing a high volume of work accurately and on time—we would like to hear from you.
Starting Pay Range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour depending upon education, property management experience, licensing, and qualifications.
What you would be doing in this role:
- Greet customers, tenants, property owners, vendors, and real estate professionals and provide responsive, professional service.
- Answer and route incoming calls; respond to routine questions and direct property management matters to the appropriate team member.
- Perform accurate data entry, document preparation, electronic filing, and property-related record management.
- Assist with administrative processes related to rental properties, tenants, owners, maintenance coordination, and office operations.
- Maintain positive, professional communication with Realtors, team members, clients, tenants, owners, vendors, and company departments.
- Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and interruptions while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
What we’d like you to bring:
- Recent property management or directly related real estate experience is required.
- Working knowledge of property management office practices, terminology, tenant/owner communication, and property-related documentation.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Current California Real Estate license preferred; candidates without a license must be willing and able to obtain one if required for the position.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships with tenants, owners, Realtors, vendors, clients, and coworkers.
- Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and professional business correspondence.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while handling frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-volume property management environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and follow-through.
- Reliable attendance and a demonstrated commitment to consistent, dependable employment.
- Positive, productive, service-oriented attitude and professional dress and demeanor.
- Ability to handle confidential tenant, owner, employee, and company information with discretion.
- Intermediate proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- AppFolio experience strongly preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Please note: This position is intended for candidates with recent property management or directly related real estate experience. Applicants whose experience is limited to general administrative or customer service work without a property management or real estate background may not meet the minimum qualifications for this role.
If this opportunity sounds like a strong match for your property management background, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant property management or real estate experience.
