CDL Class B Driver / Laborer

Location: Kenilworth, NJ
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available

A leading construction company in Kenilworth, NJ is seeking a dependable and hardworking CDL Class B Driver / Laborer to join its team.

This is not a sit-in-the-truck driving position. Candidates must be willing and able to assist with loading, unloading, and handling scaffolding materials at job sites and company facilities. The ideal candidate understands that this role combines commercial driving with physical labor and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class B vehicles to transport scaffolding equipment and materials to and from job sites
• Load, unload, and secure scaffolding components, tools, and equipment
• Assist warehouse personnel with staging and preparing deliveries
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain DOT compliance
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Help organize materials in the yard and warehouse
• Assist crews with material handling and job site support as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients and job site personnel

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B License required
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials throughout the workday
• Experience loading and unloading commercial vehicles
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
• Construction, scaffolding, building materials, or warehouse experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
• Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and walking
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working outside year-round
