Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a ready mix truck to deliver concrete to residential and commercial job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Safely navigate to and from customer locations.
• Adjust the slump (consistency) of the concrete to meet customer and job specifications.
• Operate delivery chutes and assist customers with unloading.
• Wash out the truck and equipment after each load.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service at every job site.

What to Expect

This position is more than just driving. Ready mix drivers perform physical work throughout the day and are responsible for ensuring quality concrete is delivered to every customer.

The job requires:

• Frequent climbing on and off the truck.
• Lifting, pulling, and moving delivery chutes.
• Washing out the mixer drum and equipment.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Learning how to properly adjust concrete slump and communicate with customers and dispatch.

Start times and end times vary daily based on customer demand, weather, and construction schedules. Early morning start times are common, and overtime may be available during the busy season. Flexibility is a must.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• Ability to perform manual labor throughout the workday
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ready mix experience is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
