Preschool Teacher (Full-Time)

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood development and creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for young learners. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and leading age-appropriate learning activities for children, supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, and maintaining a positive classroom culture. The ideal candidate brings patience, creativity, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for working with children.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and classroom activities.

· Create a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for children.

· Support children’s social, emotional, language, and early academic development.

· Supervise classroom routines, including play, meals, rest time, and transitions.

· Observe, assess, and document children’s growth and progress.

· Maintain positive communication with families regarding student development and classroom updates.

· Promote positive behavior using age-appropriate classroom management strategies.

· Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and learning materials.

· Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements.

· Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support program goals.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA), associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.

· Previous experience working with preschool-age children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred.

· Strong understanding of child development and classroom management best practices.

· CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

· Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.

· Must meet all required background check and state licensing requirements.

· Reliable, patient, organized, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time position. Compensation starts at $17.00 per hour, with higher pay considered for candidates with relevant experience, credentials, and demonstrated classroom success.
