Pediatric front Desk/back office Medical Assistant
Job Description
This position is floating form front desk to Back office.
Front desk duties include but not limited to answering phones and scheduling appointments. Greet patients and obtain their personal information such as address and insurance information. Schedules f/u appointments at check out. Medicaid Insurance verification, collect co-pays and deductibles, paperwork, make copies, etc. checks faxes and uploads documents to patient chart.
Medical Assistant duties include but not limited to Administer oral and inject-able vaccines and keep records in the patient’s chart.
Assist physicians and other providers with exams and procedures
Call or fax prescriptions to pharmacies when needed
Clean and maintain instruments and medical equipment
Collect specimens for lab tests
Measure patent vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature), height, and weight
Perform in-office lab tests such as led and Hemoglobin.
Perform specialized testing such as Strep A, Influenza A&B, Covid testing, vision screening, and hearing tests
Provide patient education as directed by the doctor or other providers
Prepare lab and radiology requisition
Stock exam rooms and make sure all rooms are prepared and clean.
MA records any findings into the patient charts and alerts the physician of the results.

Job Qualifications
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
certification as a medical assistant (CMA).

The office is privately owned, one location only, we have 1 Doctor's and 1 Nurse Practitioner. We are a total of 8 employees , open Monday-Friday from 8am- 5pm
