Generator Service Technician

GenReady Inc. is one of the largest Generac dealers on Long Island and we are seeking a Generator Service Technician to join our team! Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of small engines, specifically Generac Home Stand-by Generators.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • such as checking and adding oil, replacing oil and air filters, doing valve adjustments and spark plug changes.
• Prepare and Complete accurate work orders for repairs/maintenance
• Estimate time and extent of repairs
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing
• Maintain material inventory
• Additional duties as assigned

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields required
• Previous experience working on residential generators preferred but not required
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Prior trade school experience is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license
