Patient Intake Coordinator
Job Description
Psychiatry Treatment Centers is looking for a talented Patient Intake & Referral Coordinator to join our team in the Beverly Grove area (Los Angeles)! We are seeing high-energy, friendly, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced team environment to join our growing office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Screen new patients for intake appointments
- Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources
- Conduct community outreach with local providers and practices
- Schedule and assist with patient appointments
- Answer phone calls and return voicemails in a timely manner
- Assist with direct patient care as needed
- Support daily office administration tasks
- Follow best-practice protocols and uphold company policies
- Notify department leadership of any safety concerns
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA and HIPAA standards
- Ensure documentation accuracy and review patient health histories
- Obtain prior medical records from outside facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Prior patient intake or referral coordinator experience preferred
- Experience working in behavioral health settings preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems and general knowledge of insurance plans and coverage
- Strong ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally and empathetically with patients, staff, physicians, and leadership
