Arcadia Manufacturing Group is seeking a Health and Safety Manager. AMG is a metal fabrication job shop that makes parts for a wide range of industries including power production, transportation, military, architectural, water infrastructure and many more.

Job Summary
AMG is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Manager to lead our organization’s efforts in maintaining a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety programs across all departments, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in occupational health practices, foster a safety-first culture, and manage incident investigations to prevent future risks. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust health and safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across manufacturing facilities to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate training & development programs on topics such as OSHA compliance, first aid, workers' compensation law, and occupational health best practices.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims processes in accordance with applicable laws, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
  • Prepare detailed report writing on safety incidents, audit findings, and compliance status for management review.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or audits while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Organize Safety Meetings and maintain employee training logs and coordinate training needs for all safety related issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards.
  • Certifications in first aid, OSHA safety training, and EPA regulations are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation law procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing related to safety incidents.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in training & development initiatives for diverse teams.
  • Ability to perform thorough safety inspections, risk assessments, and develop effective corrective action plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in industrial hygiene, safety or related field, and eight years of experience directing and maintaining the safety and related functions of a safety operation in a medium to large organization strongly preferred; may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
