Quality Control Lead
We are currently hiring an experienced Quality Control Lead to support our production and quality operations. This position is responsible for inspecting products throughout the production process, performing quality testing, documenting results, monitoring GMP compliance, and helping ensure products meet established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products at various stages of the production process
- Interpret job routing sheets, artwork, product specifications, and quality requirements
- Work closely with production employees to ensure equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized before production startup
- Perform quality testing including moisture, pH, organoleptic attributes, and other required product tests
- Collect, record, and evaluate quality-control data
- Identify and document deviations from established quality standards
- Prepare routine quality reports and documentation
- Perform destructive and nondestructive testing on materials, parts, and finished products
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Report GMP, sanitation, safety, or quality concerns to management
- Communicate quality issues with production personnel and management
- Assist with training Quality Control Inspectors
- Cross-train and provide support in other departments as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records
- Follow company safety, quality, sanitation, and operating procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of related Quality Control experience and/or training preferred
- Previous manufacturing or production QC experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GMPs and quality-control procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, specifications, and operating instructions
- Ability to complete reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience assisting with training or leading employees is a plus
