Fiber Splicer

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to splice, test, troubleshoot, and maintain aerial and underground fiber optic networks.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
• Read fiber prints, splice diagrams, and network documentation.
• Troubleshoot outages and repair damaged fiber cable.
• Test and document fiber using OTDRs and power meters.
• Work safely in manholes, handholes, aerial lifts, and construction zones.
• Maintain accurate job records and communicate with supervisors and customers.

Requirements

• 2+ years of fiber optic splicing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction.
• Experience with OTDR testing, power meters, and fiber documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency restoration as needed.
• Ability to lift equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Bucket truck and safety procedure experience is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Confined Space Training
• Bucket Truck / Aerial Lift Certification
• Traffic Control / Flagger Certification
