Program Specialist (Finance)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a hands-on accounting professional with strong accounting and accounts payable experience. This role will support the financial administration of the E365 and Concierge membership programs, month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, audit preparation, and other accounting functions.
Initially a 3-montht contract with potential of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with the organization’s Code of Conduct and applicable compliance policies. Address compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations as appropriate.
- Provide overall financial oversight and administration for the E365 and Concierge membership programs.
- Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the programs.
- Review financial transactions initiated by Operations staff for accuracy and compliance prior to posting to the General Ledger.
- Train E365 and Concierge Operations teams on applicable financial processes and provide ongoing training as needed.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc financial and program reporting for Executive Leadership and other internal stakeholders.
- Collect financial data and prepare journal entries for month-end close within established deadlines.
- Reconcile balance sheet and designated General Ledger accounts monthly and notify Accounting management of significant discrepancies.
- Assist with preparation of annual audit schedules and provide support to independent auditors as needed.
- Prepare special financial reports and analyses as requested.
- Oversee other non-patient-related revenue programs as assigned.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience required.
- Hands-on experience with staff accounting and accounts payable.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage interruptions, and remain focused and detail-oriented.
- Experience with physician practice accounting and/or hospital accounting preferred.
