Classroom Teacher for the Red Hawk Academy, grades 1-8
Key Responsibilities Job Description

Instruction and Curriculum Development:
Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
Use a variety of teaching methods to enhance learning and cater to the diverse needs of students.

Classroom Management:
Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Assess and document student progress through observations, assessments, and conferences.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
Identify students’ learning needs and adapt teaching methods to meet these needs.

Parental and Community Engagement:
Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and needs.
Participate in school community events and foster a strong sense of community within the classroom.

Professional Development:
Stay updated with current educational trends and best practices.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership.
Participate in curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
A learning center serving the Wesley Chapel community. We are looking to hire an additional teacher for our microschool. Our student to teacher ratio averages 8 to 1. Our students are great kids who need a bit more time to master learning and/or need a smaller environment. Must be certified in the state of Florida.
