Jersey ChildCare LLC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our team in Brick, NJ! Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development throughout the day
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
- Follow all childcare center policies, safety protocols, and state licensing regulations
- Assist with snack time, nap time, and daily routines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn NJ childcare licensing requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must pass required background checks and health screenings
