Short Order Cook

As a Short Order Cook at Hunt's Annex, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen's operations. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality meals quickly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for excellent food.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and promptly cook orders, including various types of cuisine, according to specific recipes
• Operate a range of kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens) safely and effectively
• Manage time and multitask effectively during busy periods to meet service standards
• Keep the kitchen environment clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards
• Regularly check food supplies and coordinate with suppliers for restocking
• Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements to existing recipes
• Collaborate with the entire team to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen
• Familiarity with all types of kitchen equipment and food safety procedures
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on efficiency and quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Willingness to learn and grow within a family-owned business
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
