About the Role:

The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by efficiently delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner. This position requires close coordination with kitchen staff and servers to maintain the flow of service and uphold high standards of food presentation and safety. The Food Runner must be attentive to guest needs, promptly addressing any requests or concerns to enhance customer satisfaction. Working primarily during nights, weekends, and holidays, the role demands physical stamina and adherence to safety procedures to handle the demands of a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Food Runner contributes significantly to the overall success of the food service operation by supporting team members and ensuring guests receive their meals accurately and promptly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the business schedule.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry heavy trays or items safely throughout the shift.
  • Full range of mobility including standing for long periods, reaching overhead, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures related to food handling and workplace safety.
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with room service operations in a hotel or similar setting.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests efficiently and courteously.
  • Assist servers by refilling beverages, clearing plates, and responding to guest requests.

  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure food safety and personal well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders.
