Busser/Runner/Event Set-up team member

Position Summary

The Busser/Food Runner/Event Setup Team Member plays a vital role in providing exceptional service to our members and guests while ensuring all dining rooms, banquet spaces, and event venues are properly prepared and maintained. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and a willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on position that combines restaurant support with event and banquet setup responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable lifting heavy objects, working both indoors and outdoors, and assisting wherever needed to ensure the success of club operations.

Essential Responsibilities

Dining Room Operations

• Deliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests.
• Assist servers by clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables throughout service.
• Refill water, bread, and other guest necessities as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, and wait stations.
• Assist with opening and closing side work.
• Ensure all dining areas remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready.

Wedding & Event Setup

• Set up and break down banquet rooms for weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, and special events.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings, dance floors, staging, and décor according to event diagrams.
• Assist with outdoor event setups, including tents, ceremony chairs, cocktail areas, and furniture.
• Move banquet equipment, tables, chairs, bars, and other heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Reset rooms quickly between events while maintaining attention to detail.

General Labor

• Load and unload deliveries, supplies, and event equipment.
• Transport tables, chairs, umbrellas, heaters, and other equipment throughout the property.
• Assist with seasonal setup and breakdown of club facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, banquet spaces, patios, and event equipment.
• Complete additional manual labor projects assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Previous restaurant or banquet experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull carts, tables, and banquet equipment.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during weddings and special events.
