GDT is seeking an experienced OTR Truck Driver with a strong background operating 53-foot refrigerated (reefer) trailers. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and looking for a long-term driving opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 53-foot trailer safely and efficiently
- Transport refrigerated freight while monitoring temperature-controlled loads
- Plan routes to ensure on-time delivery
- Perform safe backing and maneuvering in tight spaces
- Maintain accurate records using ELD (electronic logging device) systems
- Communicate professionally with GDT staff and customers
- Follow DOT safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Valid CDL – Class A (Required)
- Valid CDL Class A license with at least 3 consecutive years of current driving experience (Required)
- Experience operating refrigerated (reefer) trailers
- Strong backing skills
- Ability to drive manual and automatic trucks
- Clean MVR/Driving Record — no DWIs/DUIs in last 3 years, no major violations in 36 months, and no speeding 15+ mph over limit
- Clean background and driving record (no criminal record or major violations)
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing (Clearinghouse compliant)
- Dry van experience required
- TWIC Card
- Must be able to operate electronic logs and understand DOT Hours of Service rules
- Professional, respectful attitude
