Local Class A Drivers
Job Description
The Local Truck Driver will primarily operate heavy-duty trucks across regional and interstate routes on day shifts. This role involves ensuring vehicle safety, securing loads, maintaining accurate logs, and interacting professionally with customers. The driver will report directly to the Fleet Manager and Operations Supervisor, focusing exclusively on driving without Hand loading or unloading responsibilities. We are a local family oriented company that caters to the Forestry Industry hauling logs, wood chips, and lumber.
Responsibilities
- Navigate regional and interstate routes efficiently and safely
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure loads are properly secured during transit
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate and timely logbooks and delivery documentation
- Engage professionally with customers during delivery interactions
- Operate heavy-duty trucks off road at times reliably throughout day shifts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in truck driving
