CDL Class A Driver

The Logistics Driver A is responsible for loading, unloading, transporting, and delivering items to clients, job sites or businesses in a safe, timely manner. These deliveries may require an overnight stay based on the distance travelled. He/she will review orders before delivery for specific drop off instructions and after delivery to ensure they are complete, and the customer is satisfied.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drive our company truck (Class A CDL required) to deliver supplies to local customers and job sites, some deliveries may require overnight stay when needed
• Operate a forklift/moffett/bobcat or other equipment to load and unload truck
• Perform rigorous pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's mechanical safety and compliance with DOT standards
• Record vehicle maintenance information, record and maintain mileage logs
• Communicate with manager for accurate delivery times and to ensure accurate delivery instructions
• Provide excellent customer service
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks at the stone yard and on various jobsites as needed
• Ability to travel overnight when needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License
• Clean MVR
• Basic knowledge of South Carolina and Georgia roadways
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work independently
