Founded in 1945, our historic 5-Star preschool seeks experienced educators to join our play- and nature-based, full-day program. Come join the best! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of classroom management experience, a solid understanding of developmentally-appropriate practice, and the desire to continue learning about best practice and the Reggio Emilia Approach to early learning. Responsibilities:

• Engage with toddlers/preschool-aged children through rich, engaging activities designed to spark joy and creativity and promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a joyful and safe learning environment
• Establish and maintain positive, nurturing relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with families through daily reports and biannual parent-teacher conferences
• Assess growth and development using observation, focused portfolios, and developmental checklists
• Observe children's progress, thoughts, and ideas and make learning visible through regular documentation
• Maintain the health and safety of all students through close supervision

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a CDA/CDC certification or an AA degree, depending on position
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or related field
• Knowledge of the conscious discipline and positive guidance strategies
