Service and Repair Technician

Position Overview

SIC Marking USA is seeking a highly capable in-house Repair Technician who will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintenance, and commissioning of dot peen, scribing and laser marking machines within our repair lab. This role involves electromechanical diagnostics, component repairs, and providing possible on-site support to minimize manufacturing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix electrical, mechanical, and optical issues on laser, dot peen, and scribing systems.
• Equipment Testing: Perform startup, testing and calibration of new systems or repaired marking machines to ensure optimal repeatability and meet marking standards.
• Documentation: Document all repairs and service activities for both internal reference and customer use.
• Preventative Maintenance: Provide regular service and maintenance to all sales representatives’ equipment upon equipment returns prior to restocking.
• Customer Support: Remote support of customer repair consulting when required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years (preferred) of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, repair or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electronics, pneumatic and mechanical schematics, using variety of handheld tools, and ability to identify mechanical and electrical components. Proficient use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand, sit or bend for extended periods during machine maintenance or repair.
