Position Summary
Early Resultz Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while implementing age-appropriate curriculum and supervising classroom activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage children throughout the day.
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's growth and daily activities.
- Ensure compliance with all Virginia childcare licensing regulations.
- Guide and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff.
- Foster positive behavior and encourage social-emotional development.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet Virginia licensing requirements.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
