Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Multiple Shifts Available

Home Life, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization in Corvallis, Oregon that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live active, productive, and empowered lives. Services are designed to support independence, dignity, and meaningful community participation.
Position Overview
Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living activities, personal goals, and community participation while following individualized support plans.
This role is ideal for individuals who value meaningful work and want to contribute to a person-centered support environment.
Key Responsibilities
DSPs provide support based on individual needs. Responsibilities may include:
Following Individual Support Plans (ISP) while ensuring the safety and well-being of supported individuals
Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene, while maintaining dignity and respect
Preparing meals according to dietary needs
Assisting with daily living skills and progress toward personal goals
Supporting participation in community activities and events
Administering medications in accordance with established procedures
Documenting activities, progress, and incidents in a timely manner
Following behavior support strategies and assisting with emotional regulation when needed
Safeguarding supported individual funds and documenting expenses in accordance with support plans
Communicating relevant updates with team members and supervisors
Responding appropriately to emergencies while ensuring the safety of supported individuals and staff
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Comfortable providing personal care support when needed
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Schedule
Full-time and part-time positions are available with a variety of schedules, including morning, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Substitute opportunities may also be available based on staffing needs.
