Optometric Technician

The perfect candidate loves working with patients, can handle some fast paced moments, loves problem solving and organizing, and is reliable and ready to work as a team player.

The main responsibility is to assist the eye doctor in providing care to patients- and we are happy to provide training. We are open on Saturdays so please plan to work three Saturday shifts per month. Every office does things a bit differently, but typically, the tasks include:

• Taking patient medical histories
• Performing basic eye tests
• Answering questions about medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
• Helping with in-office procedures
• Using diagnostic instruments
• Maintaining ophthalmic equipment
• Sending prescriptions to pharmacies
• Coordinating/scheduling future appointments
• Contact Lens Training
• Verifying Insurance
• Prepping for upcoming appointments

We are called Georgetown Vision Center, partnered with Pearle Vision, in the Wolf Ranch Shopping Center. We have two doctor's and a small staff that seems like family. Our thriving practice is the perfect mix of small town personal touch and shopping center convenience.
