We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead HVAC Technician to lead one of our field operations team. This hands-on role is responsible for installing new HVAC systems, diagnosing and repairing equipment, performing routine maintenance, and has 100% command of retrofits.

You will be responsible for the installation of new units, repairing pre-existing units, and troubleshooting all types of HVAC-related issues. For new installs/replacements, you will have a small team to assist you.

The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong leadership abilities who can guide and develop a team while ensuring top-quality work and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee a team of HVAC technicians and helpers during job assignments.
  • Install, diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems (residential and/or commercial).
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code and manufacturer specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and contribute to team development.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; HVAC technical certification or degree preferred
  • 4+ years of HVAC experience, including installation, diagnostics, and maintenance
  • 1+ years of team leadership or crew supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Can solve and resolve any HVAC issue.
  • EPA 608 Certification required; NATE certification a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied environments (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, etc.).
  • Must be able to travel & stay overnight during shift

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00/hr to $35.00/hr (determined by experience and ability)
